QUILT PREPARATION

Please carefully review all of the information on this page.

•  Trim all loose threads from the back.   Loose threads may show through the top or back.  We call these 'varicose' threads.

•  Be sure your top is "square".  Measure your side borders as well as the middle of the length of your top.  Your measurements should be the same.  Measure the top and bottom and across the middle widthwise.  These three measurements should be the same.  If not, there is a possibility that there will be puckers or tucks in your quilt.

•  Be sure that all blocks and borders are flat. Press quilt top.

•  Be sure your backing is square and the batting and backing are at least 8 inches larger than your top. Make sure pieced backing edges are trimmed for a flat finish and all seams are pressed open. Press backing.

•  If supplying your own batting, it must be squared up and 6" larger (width and length) than quilt top.

•  Fill out the Order Form (one for each quilt please) and enclose it with your quilt.

•  Send me e-mail  before mailing your package to be sure I am home and expecting the package.  I will let you know when the package arrives.

I will return your quilt to you via First Class Postal Service, insured and with a signature required unless you request otherwise.
